Cai Freston took the corner. The corner ended in Cai Freston almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Llangollen's Cerdic Vandeweghe did a great save. Myrddin Hodgkiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceithin Denman having to interfere. A collision led to Port Talbot Utd getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Parry Frost hit a great ball. Cerdic Vandeweghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ysgawyn Denton in the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Nerth Dancy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Llangollen's goalkeeper Cerdic Vandeweghe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ysgawyn Denton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cerdic Vandeweghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ifor Crease in the 27th minute of the match. When Ysgawyn Denton came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Port Talbot Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ysgawyn Denton couldn't finish the play. After 30 played minutes Port Talbot Utd got a freekick which was hit by Renfrew Haylow. Ceithin Denman made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Tringad Aykroyd sent off a good shot on target. Ifor Crease fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cerdic Vandeweghe having to interfere. Ceithin Denman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myrddin Hodgkiss in the 37th minute of play. Tringad Aykroyds short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Ceithin Denman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ifor Crease was the one to do the kick off. Ysgawyn Denton in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cerdic Vandeweghe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ifor Crease recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ysgawyn Denton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 minutes, Parry David mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llangollen and the Port Talbot Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Parry David hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cai Freston was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ysgawyn Denton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cerdic Vandeweghe having to interfere. Ceithin Denman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myrddin Hodgkiss in the 69th minute of play. Reese Child hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Ysgawyn Denton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Port Talbot Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ysgawyn Denton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ysgawyn Denton got free with Cerdic Vandeweghe in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ysgawyn Denton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cerdic Vandeweghe having to interfere. Nerth Dancy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cerdic Vandeweghe having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Port Talbot Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Tringad Aykroyd came free, but Ceithin Denman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Llangollen's zone, Ysgawyn Denton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cerdic Vandeweghe came out of the goal and Ysgawyn Denton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ysgawyn Denton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cerdic Vandeweghe was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
