The attack was good, but when Gwydion Whitesmith in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Huw Heanaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tudur Kilpatrick ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gwydion Whitesmith to make the kick off. Dylan Bury hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, one of Porthcawl:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Porthcawl. The referee gave Llandudno FC a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cynan Beaty, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Porthcawl's Selyv Fishbourne. 0-1. Gerallt Cormack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cadoc Puddler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Bellieus Brazier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selyv Fishbourne having to interfere. The Porthcawl supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Llandudno FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Llandudno FC.
