Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) Newtown's Sel Kevin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huw Luce got free with Kian Jenks in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sel Kevin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Sel Kevin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kian Jenks. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heulyn Critchley in the 13th minute of play forced Newtown's goalkeeper Moesen Tide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Baglan's Kian Jenks got control of the ball when Huw Luce tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Heulyn Critchley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baglan's Kian Jenks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sel Kevin in the 28th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Huw Luce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newtown and the Baglan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Huw Luce. In the 38th minute, Lug Bryant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moesen Tide was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lug Bryant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Moesen Tide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sel Kevin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heulyn Critchley was the one to do the kick off. When Dalldav Devany fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newtown's protests and gave Dalldav Devany a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Dalldav Devany. The audience was convinced that Heulyn Critchley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moesen Tide was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Sel Kevin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Huw Luce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sel Kevin in the 62nd minute of play forced Baglan's goalkeeper Kian Jenks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Newtown's goalkeeper Moesen Tide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lug Bryant. In the 70th minute Sel Kevin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kian Jenks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Casnar Billing dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Moesen Tide, 2-2. Lug Bryant ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sel Kevin in the 86th minute of play forced Baglan's goalkeeper Kian Jenks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Heulyn Critchley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baglan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heulyn Critchley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 89 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Cerwyn Cordle. In the 96th minute, Clyde Lovat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute of the match Drystan Gallagher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kian Jenks skillfully saved the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
