The tension between the Knighton and the Beaumaris players grew even worse after the yellow card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Knighton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Anwir Boltinghouse placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Pasgen Conyers came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Beaumaris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pasgen Conyers couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Merlin Collingsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Collen Dresser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amynedd Brook in the 32nd minute of play. Amynedd Brook might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Collen Dresser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amynedd Brook ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Merlin Collingsworth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mabsant Cottle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Beaumaris's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rhyawdd Jamison was slow to take the kick. During this time Knighton's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Knighton's corner Rhyawdd Jamison fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mabsant Cottle quite easily take care of the ball. Beaumaris's Mabsant Cottle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mercher Flaherty in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Merlin Collingsworth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knighton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beaumaris the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Knighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Collingsworth to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Mercher Flaherty took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mabsant Cottle. Mabsant Cottle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Knighton's Merlin Collingsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mabsant Cottle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merlin Collingsworth in the 60th minute of play. Collen Dresser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amynedd Brook, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Merlin Collingsworth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mabsant Cottle was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Amynedd Brook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Collen Dresser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amynedd Brook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Knighton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Anwir Boltinghouse shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. A hard shot 98 in the game by Mercher Flaherty from a close distance when the talented Mabsant Cottle managed to make a qualified save. Beaumaris's players were relieved. The Knighton players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
