An unexpectedly hard shot by Llwyd Foster in the 4th minute of play forced UWA Rhonnda's goalkeeper Kenyon Forbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UWA Rhonnda's Kenyon Forbes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Rhonnda from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Calcas Neatherder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goreu Kempster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Taffy Gilboy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teregud Essigs short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Kenyon Forbes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Teregud Essig struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Kenyon Forbes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Maesteg. After 24 played minutes UWA Rhonnda got a freekick which was hit by Ifor Foltz. If Teregud Essig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. After 34 played minutes, UWA Rhonnda's Mabsant Harland shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Goreu Kempster came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Rhonnda reached it. A collision led to UWA Rhonnda getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Drych Gooch hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Rhonnda's zone, Teregud Essig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenyon Forbes came out of the goal and Teregud Essig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Llwyd Foster to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Drych Gooch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Goreu Kempster skillfully saved the ball. UWA Rhonnda's Kenyon Forbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Llwyd Foster in the 56th minute of play. Llwyd Foster scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenyon Forbes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute Calcas Neatherder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goreu Kempster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calcas Neatherder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tudur Bruce kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes UWA Rhonnda got a freekick which was hit by Nodens Blacksmith. When UWA Maesteg's Llwyd Foster in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Rhonnda's goalie prevented a goal. Kenyon Forbes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Llwyd Foster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UWA Maesteg's Llwyd Foster got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Rhonnda's goalkeeper Kenyon Forbes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kenyon Forbes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Llwyd Foster, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Kenyon Forbes came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by UWA Maesteg's Teregud Essig. But to his dismay, Teregud Essig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 94th minute, UWA Rhonnda's Calcas Neatherder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Goreu Kempster. Goreu Kempster yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. UWA Maesteg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
