Evrei Scrivener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, UWA Treorchy's goal looked a bit too open when Calcas Neatherder came free, but Vaughn Boryla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vaughn Boryla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calcas Neatherder's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Keith Christian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. UWA Rhonnda's Kenyon Forbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Christian in the 18th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Aglovale Jagger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UWA Rhonnda's Kenyon Forbes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aglovale Jagger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aglovale Jagger took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenyon Forbes. Kenyon Forbes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, UWA Treorchy's goalkeeper Vaughn Boryla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evrei Scrivener. When Evrei Scrivener came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the UWA Rhonnda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evrei Scrivener couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Keith Christian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenyon Forbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Ifor Foltz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Rhonnda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Treorchy the free kick. After a rather tough play, UWA Rhonnda's Ifor Foltz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Aglovale Jagger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Kenyon Forbes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Keith Christian made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, UWA Treorchy's goal looked a bit too open when Calcas Neatherder came free, but Vaughn Boryla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UWA Rhonnda's Evrei Scrivener got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aglovale Jagger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Kenyon Forbes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Rhonnda's zone, Keith Christian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenyon Forbes came out of the goal and Keith Christian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Keith Christian fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Evrei Scrivener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vaughn Boryla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calcas Neatherder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vaughn Boryla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. UWA Rhonnda's Kenyon Forbes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save UWA Rhonnda from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute Keith Christian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenyon Forbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as UWA Treorchy's Aglovale Jagger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kenyon Forbes. That made the score 0-4 after 74 minutes of play. Drystan Criddle hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Aglovale Jagger was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Keith Christian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenyon Forbes having to interfere. Keith Christian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Kenyon Forbes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenyon Forbes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keith Christian's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. UWA Treorchy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
