Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) Neath's Calder Cain started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beven Hodgson in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pasgen Daly saved Neath from getting behind. Rhett Ammons struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Dilwyn Darke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neath. Pasgen Daly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lug Appleby, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 15 minutes Neath's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gwern Campbell who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Beven Hodgson at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Neath. 0-1. In the 19th minute, Lug Appleby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Penvro Doney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pasgen Daly was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After 21 minutes, Trefor Dutton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neath and the Bridgend players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Neath got a freekick which was hit by Trefor Dutton. In the 24th minute Calder Cain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dilwyn Darke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Calder Cain notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bridgend's Dilwyn Darke. Dilwyn Darke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rhett Ammons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trefor Dutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dilwyn Darke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34thth minute of the game Calder Cain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bridgend's Dilwyn Darke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dilwyn Darke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rhett Ammons went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Pawl Keefe hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Rhett Ammons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Calder Cain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Pasgen Daly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mael Cleary in the 58th minute of the match. Calder Cain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Bridgend getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gwern Campbell hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Penvro Doney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lug Appleby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pasgen Daly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Penvro Doney came free, but Pasgen Daly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pasgen Daly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lug Appleby in the 96th minute. Neath were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bridgend for a fine match.
