The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwyddno Earnshaw got free with Vaughn Malender in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Ffowc Hind ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brathach Browning was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute Llwydeu Flanagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaughn Malender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ffowc Hind made a precise shot to the right of Brathach Browning. Cardiff Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ffowc Hind's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brathach Browning read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Knighton's Rhyd Crosby got a free kick in the 21st minute. Vaughn Malender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llwydeu Flanagan in the 24th minute of play. Ffowc Hind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Brathach Browning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ffowc Hind struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Brathach Browning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knighton. In the 31st minute of the match Meical Kirby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vaughn Malender showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gwyddno Earnshaws short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Vaughn Malender to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brathach Browning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ffowc Hind, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Llwydeu Flanagan to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Knighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerawdwr Eaton to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Powell Lett sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Knighton's Vaughn Malender didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Llwydeu Flanagan in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaughn Malender saved Knighton from getting behind. When Duach Harden came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Knighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duach Harden couldn't finish the play. Gwyddno Earnshaw succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Arglwydd Felt charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arglwydd Felt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arglwydd Felt kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Powell Lett was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Llwydeu Flanagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duach Harden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Brathach Browning made a huge save. Vaughn Malender didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Llwydeu Flanagan went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Llwydeu Flanagan in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaughn Malender saved Knighton from getting behind. The Knighton players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cardiff Utd from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
