Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Llwydeu Flanagan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Cardiff Utd's zone, Teilo Leigh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brathach Browning came out of the goal and Teilo Leigh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UWA Rhonnda's Teilo Leigh got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When UWA Rhonnda's Dylan Head in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cardiff Utd's goalie prevented a goal. 10 minutes into the game, Dylan Head recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brathach Browning. Dylan Head showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Dylan Head might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brathach Browning. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dylan Head ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Cardiff Utd's Gwyddno Earnshaw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxen Hand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of UWA Rhonnda:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cardiff Utd:s goal. In the 18th minute, Powell Lett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardiff Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Teilo Leigh's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Brathach Browning firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Teilo Leigh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenyon Keyes charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenyon Keyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of UWA Rhonnda booed when Cardiff Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenyon Keyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dylan Head fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brathach Browning having to interfere. Brathach Browning made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teilo Leigh in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwyddno Earnshaw in the 29th minute of play forced UWA Rhonnda's goalkeeper Maxen Hand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brathach Browning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Head, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxen Hand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llwydeu Flanagan in the 35th minute of play. Maxen Hand came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Cardiff Utd's Gwyddno Earnshaw. But to his dismay, Gwyddno Earnshaw quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Brathach Browning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylan Head in the 42nd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Gwyddno Earnshaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Maxen Hand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxen Hand made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gwyddno Earnshaw sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llwydeu Flanagan in the 68th minute of play forced UWA Rhonnda's goalkeeper Maxen Hand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Bedyw Cunningham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cardiff Utd booed when UWA Rhonnda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anyon Joyner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwyddno Earnshaw's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Maxen Hand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Teilo Leigh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Rhonnda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teilo Leigh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cardiff Utd getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gwyddno Earnshaw hit a great ball. When Cardiff Utd's Llwydeu Flanagan in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Rhonnda's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cardiff Utd eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
