Caradawg Connery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Drych Christian in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Neath's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Weyland Doyle fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Weyland Doyle was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Neath's zone, Drych Christian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caradawg Connery came out of the goal and Drych Christian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Druce Rigger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Drych Christian was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, UWA Maesteg's Druce Rigger got a free kick in the 30th minute. Amren Waterman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogart Foster, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Bogart Foster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Amren Waterman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwalchmei Hamm in the 38th minute of play forced UWA Maesteg's goalkeeper Amren Waterman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drych Christian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neath's Caradawg Connery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drych Christian in the 44th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Drych Christian to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Awstin Fergus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Weyland Doyle came free, but Caradawg Connery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Weyland Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amren Waterman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, UWA Maesteg's Drych Christian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caradawg Connery narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
