After 26 played minutes Presteigne Utd got a freekick which was hit by Dalldav Francom. If Bleddyn Hacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meical Haycock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owein Gilfoyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pryderi Breedlove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bleddyn Hacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Dalldav Francom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pryderi Breedlove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bleddyn Hacker in the 41st minute of play. Pryderi Breedlove stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bleddyn Hacker's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Owein Gilfoyle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pryderi Breedlove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bleddyn Hacker in the 54th minute of the match. Pryderi Breedlove took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bleddyn Hacker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Presteigne Utd's Owein Gilfoyle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Meical Haycock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Neath's Bleddyn Hacker in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Presteigne Utd's goalie prevented a goal. The Neath fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Neath's Bleddyn Hacker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dalldav Francom might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meical Haycock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalldav Francom ran back to his position shaking his head. Owein Gilfoyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Meical Haycock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Owein Gilfoyle came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Presteigne Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owein Gilfoyle couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Owein Gilfoyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meical Haycock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Presteigne Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Kynwyl Yeoman came free, but Pryderi Breedlove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Neath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kynwyl Yeoman to maneuver through the defense. Presteigne Utd's Ifor Farrar got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalldav Francom got free with Meical Haycock in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pryderi Breedlove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bleddyn Hacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Mabsant Cosgrave recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neath were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Presteigne Utd for a fine match.
