The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Bogart Foster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Neath's Caradawg Connery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Neath from getting a goal against them. Lionel Kay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caradawg Connery read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Llwyd Hazel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neath's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carmarthen SC the free kick. Llwyd Hazel kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Drew Burgonmaster notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Neath's Caradawg Connery. Caradawg Connery was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bogart Foster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagonet Curtis having to interfere. Bogart Foster struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Dagonet Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neath. After some careless play in the Carmarthen SC defense, Gwalchmei Hamm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dagonet Curtis. The Carmarthen SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dagonet Curtis should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Carmarthen SC's Tringad Argyle got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gwalchmei Hamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Neath's Llwyd Hazel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dagonet Curtis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Carmarthen SC's Tringad Argyle got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Drew Burgonmaster kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Bogart Foster came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Neath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogart Foster couldn't finish the play. Gwalchmei Hamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Neath were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lionel Kay to make the kick off. Carmarthen SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gwalchmei Hamm 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Lionel Kay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Siam James hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogart Foster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gwalchmei Hamm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Neath's Bogart Foster made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dagonet Curtis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dagonet Curtis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogart Foster in the 86th minute. Gwalchmei Hamm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Dagonet Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dagonet Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwalchmei Hamm in the 94th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Carmarthen SC's goalkeeper Dagonet Curtis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogart Foster.
