Brathach Browning stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Owein Gilfoyle's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Rheged Saddler charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rheged Saddler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Rheged Saddler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Cardiff Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Owein Gilfoyle came free, but Brathach Browning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Owein Gilfoyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Brathach Browning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Brathach Browning successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brathach Browning made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalldav Francom in the 28th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meical Kirby during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cardiff Utd! The referee gave Presteigne Utd a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bradwr Hatch, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cardiff Utd's Brathach Browning. 1-1. After 41 played minutes Cardiff Utd got a freekick which was hit by Cadfan Biddwell. Owein Gilfoyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brathach Browning read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Llwydeu Flanagan was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Gwyddno Earnshaw cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Pryderi Breedlove was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gwyddno Earnshaw struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Pryderi Breedlove didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardiff Utd. The supporters of Cardiff Utd booed when Presteigne Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teryrnon Knox didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pryderi Breedlove came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Cardiff Utd's Llwydeu Flanagan. But to his dismay, Llwydeu Flanagan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Cardiff Utd's attack was well implemented in the 76th minute, but when Llwydeu Flanagan was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 77 minutes into the game, Anir Birkbeck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Presteigne Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardiff Utd the free kick. Anir Birkbeck kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Presteigne Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Llwydeu Flanagan scored to the left of an out of position Pryderi Breedlove, making the score, 1-5. 82 minutes into the game, Cadfan Biddwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cardiff Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Presteigne Utd the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cardiff Utd's Cadfan Biddwell got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Ifor Farrar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brathach Browning. Cardiff Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ifor Farrar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Brathach Browning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owein Gilfoyle in the 95th minute of play.
