After a rather tough play, UWA Bridgend's Llwybyr Bradford got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Griffith Brent managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Swansea's supporters rose to their feet, but Griffith Brent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bellieus Derrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerwin Blake kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Maddox Cummins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cadellin Bourns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes UWA Bridgend got a freekick which was hit by Bedyw Covell. 27 minutes into the match, UWA Bridgend's goal looked a bit too open when Griffith Brent came free, but Bellieus Derrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cadellin Bourns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Griffith Brent's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bellieus Derrick was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cadellin Bourns to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute UWA Swansea were awarded a corner. Reese Jay went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Reese Jay got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bellieus Derrick quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 59 minutes, Cadellin Bourns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UWA Bridgend and the UWA Swansea players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cadellin Bourns kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Bradwen Hernon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedyw Covell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Maddox Cummins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Swansea's zone, Cadellin Bourns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maddox Cummins came out of the goal and Cadellin Bourns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bellieus Derrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Griffith Brent in the 70th minute of the match. Bellieus Derrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Griffith Brent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, UWA Swansea's goalkeeper Maddox Cummins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bedyw Covell. Maddox Cummins made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cadellin Bourns sent off a good shot on target. Cadellin Bourns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maddox Cummins having to interfere. UWA Bridgend's Bedyw Covell got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Many of UWA Bridgend's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. UWA Bridgend may have spent more time on the ball, but UWA Swansea were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
