If Cadellin Bourns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UWA Bridgend's Bellieus Derrick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Bridgend from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute Bedyw Covell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwitart Longshoreman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the UWA Neath defense, Cadellin Bourns kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwitart Longshoreman. The UWA Neath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwitart Longshoreman should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, UWA Bridgend's Bellieus Derrick got control of the ball when Wren Hickey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cadellin Bourns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gwitart Longshoreman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cadellin Bourns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Wren Hickey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Neath's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wren Hickey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. UWA Bridgend's players were relieved. 37 minutes into the game, UWA Neath's Wren Hickey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bellieus Derrick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Wren Hickey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cadellin Bourns stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dyvyr Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dyvyr Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to UWA Bridgend getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dyvyr Lucas hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, UWA Neath's Albanwr Tanner broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 57 minutes into the match, UWA Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Cadellin Bourns came free, but Gwitart Longshoreman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bedyw Covell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wren Hickey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bellieus Derrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cadellin Bourns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwitart Longshoreman having to interfere. Gwitart Longshoreman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cadellin Bourns showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 93 minute of play. The UWA Bridgend players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
