Spectators: 6762 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Cardiff Utd's zone, Griffith Brent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceithin Coburn came out of the goal and Griffith Brent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes, Iona Hassett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UWA Swansea and the Cardiff Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Taliesin French sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Huw Cantwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huw Cantwell in the 20th minute of play forced UWA Swansea's goalkeeper Maddox Cummins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Griffith Brent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceithin Coburn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Cardiff Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwydion Duncan to maneuver through the defense. Cardiff Utd's Ceithin Coburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Griffith Brent in the 34th minute of play. Gwyr Cochrane kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Huw Cantwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Taliesin French managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardiff Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Taliesin French was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maddox Cummins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes UWA Swansea's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Moesen Hugh who took care of the corner kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 52 played minutes Cardiff Utd got a freekick which was hit by Teregud Finch. Reese Jay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Griffith Brent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceithin Coburn having to interfere. Taliesin French fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maddox Cummins having to interfere. If Bradwen Hernon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Griffith Brent struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ceithin Coburn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Swansea. Griffith Brent received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ceithin Coburn came out and tried to block the shot, but Griffith Brent slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 75th minute. Ceithin Coburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Griffith Brent in the 85th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Cardiff Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UWA Swansea:s goal. Reese Jay shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UWA Swansea eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
