Port Talbot's Davis Lockwood got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Brice Spinster left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Port Talbot fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Brice Spinster blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gandwy Atkin having to make a save. Daned Fane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pwyll Foote having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Myrddin Finnegan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penarth Utd and the Port Talbot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gandwy Atkin was a little too slow when Davis Lockwood got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trent Donovan in the 39th minute of play forced Port Talbot's goalkeeper Pwyll Foote to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Brice Spinster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Port Talbot's supporters rose to their feet, but Brice Spinster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gandwy Atkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Davis Lockwood hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trent Donovan made a kick off. Gandwy Atkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Spinster in the 52nd minute of play. A hard shot 55 in the game by Owein Hampton from a close distance when the talented Pwyll Foote managed to make a qualified save. Port Talbot's players were relieved. Gandwy Atkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brice Spinster, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Davis Lockwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gandwy Atkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davis Lockwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Penarth Utd got a freekick which was hit by Daned Fane. Owein Hampton scored 3-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pwyll Foote, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Dewey Longhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pwyll Foote showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trent Donovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 80 played minutes Penarth Utd got a freekick which was hit by Ren Cain. Davis Lockwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gandwy Atkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trent Donovan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Goreu Cameron charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Goreu Cameron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There was no doubt that Port Talbot were the better team. Port Talbot's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
