Morthwyl Crowleys short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Dagonet Tinker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Calcas Knox came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Barry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calcas Knox couldn't finish the play. Wadu Asher's late challenge caught a Barry FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wadu Asher helped the player get up and apologised. Angawdd Blakey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bryn Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Barry FC's Angawdd Blakey in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Barry FC's zone, Morthwyl Crowley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagonet Tinker came out of the goal and Morthwyl Crowley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Angawdd Blakey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryn Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Maesteg's zone, Calcas Knox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryn Joseph came out of the goal and Calcas Knox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bryn Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calcas Knox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Angawdd Blakey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bryn Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calcas Knox in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Maesteg's zone, Angawdd Blakey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryn Joseph came out of the goal and Angawdd Blakey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angawdd Blakey to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, UWA Maesteg's Bradwr Hussey got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th match minute, UWA Maesteg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wadu Asher to maneuver through the defense. Bryn Joseph made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Calcas Knox sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Angawdd Blakey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryn Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, UWA Maesteg's Bryn Joseph got control of the ball when Calcas Knox tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angawdd Blakey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bryn Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bors Asher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Angawdd Blakey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angawdd Blakey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryn Joseph breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calcas Knox could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Bryn Joseph made a huge save. Angawdd Blakey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barry FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
