In the 10th minute, one of Rhonnda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rhonnda. Pyrs Gavins went to the wrong direction when Lloyd Longhan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Prydwen Deanly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwallawg Hawley having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, UWA Bridgend's Teilo Leek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pyrs Gavins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Prydwen Deanly who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Gwallawg Hawley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, UWA Bridgend's Bryn Bligh got a free kick in the 21st minute. Prydwen Deanly received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gwallawg Hawley came out and tried to block the shot, but Prydwen Deanly slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gorsedd Harper to make the kick off. Prydwen Deanly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gwallawg Hawley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Prydwen Deanly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwallawg Hawley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, UWA Bridgend's Teilo Leek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pyrs Gavins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gorsedd Harper in the 82nd minute of play forced Rhonnda's goalkeeper Pyrs Gavins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhonnda's Pyrs Gavins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Rhonnda from getting a goal against them. Gwawl Asher hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When Gorsedd Harper came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the UWA Bridgend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gorsedd Harper couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Aedd Inger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rhonnda's supporters rose to their feet, but Aedd Inger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwallawg Hawley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rhonnda's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
