Teilo Leek struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Sayer Sawbones didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Bridgend. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colwyn Hawke in the 31st minute of play forced UWA Bridgend's goalkeeper Gwallawg Hawley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Olwydd Ashley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwallawg Hawley. UWA Bridgend's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olwydd Ashley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Colwyn Hawke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gwallawg Hawley was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, UWA Bridgend's Bryn Bligh got a free kick in the 36th minute. Colwyn Greenham hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Sior Foley sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UWA Bridgend's Gwallawg Hawley didn't even have to move. If Olwydd Ashley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teilo Leek got free with Sayer Sawbones in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olwydd Ashley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gwallawg Hawley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Olwydd Ashley made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 53 in the game by Colwyn Hawke from a close distance when the talented Gwallawg Hawley managed to make a qualified save. UWA Bridgend's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olwydd Ashley in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gwallawg Hawley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teregud Gerdes's late challenge caught a UWA Bridgend's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teregud Gerdes helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes UWA Flint got a freekick which was hit by Teregud Gerdes. UWA Flint's Sayer Sawbones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teilo Leek in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Lloyd Longhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olwydd Ashley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. UWA Flint's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sayer Sawbones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teilo Leek in the 90th minute of the match. UWA Flint's Olwydd Ashley got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UWA Flint walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
