Spectators: 6759 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 0) UWA Ely's Llyn Lazar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Davis Flannagan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Collen Colby having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, UWA Talgarth's goal looked a bit too open when Llyn Lazar came free, but Collen Colby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UWA Talgarth's Collen Colby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davis Flannagan in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llyn Lazar in the 25th minute of play forced UWA Talgarth's goalkeeper Collen Colby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Llyn Lazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Collen Colby having to interfere. Gwern Eggleston might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albanwr Blencow. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gwern Eggleston ran back to his position shaking his head. Albanwr Blencow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daned Bray in the 33rd minute of play. When UWA Talgarth's Daned Bray in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Ely's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute, Sior Gorman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cadwaladr Keating missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 39 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Collen Colby right hand side. Davis Flannagan took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Collen Colby. Collen Colby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daned Bray made the kick off in the second half. Lovel Boggs struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Collen Colby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Ely. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Daned Bray managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Talgarth's supporters rose to their feet, but Daned Bray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albanwr Blencow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute Dalldav Herren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albanwr Blencow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Collen Colby didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. With a left leg Collen Colby saved UWA Talgarth from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huw Ludden during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UWA Ely eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
