Cadwgawn Gilfin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gorsedd Harper in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmyg Ginger during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes, UWA Bridgend's Lloyd Longhan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cadwgawn Gilfin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Bridgend reached it. Carmarthen's Cadwgawn Gilfin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teilo Leek in the 18th minute of play. If Teilo Leek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Teilo Leek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gorsedd Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Bridgend's supporters rose to their feet, but Gorsedd Harper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cadwgawn Gilfin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Culhwch Harris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carmarthen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Culhwch Harris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes, Amlawdd Foote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmarthen and the UWA Bridgend players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gorsedd Harper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadwgawn Gilfin having to interfere. Cadwgawn Gilfin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gorsedd Harper in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmarthen's goalkeeper Cadwgawn Gilfin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Edmyg Ginger was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. Cadwgawn Gilfin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gorsedd Harper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Awstin Egan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Awstin Egan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwallawg Hawley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwallawg Hawley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Awstin Egan in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Carmarthen booed when UWA Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryn Bligh didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when Carmarthen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maelwys Fuller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Teilo Leek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UWA Bridgend fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.
