Spectators: 6770 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kynon Finch got the match started through his kick off. The attack was good, but when Daned Bray in the 3rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Morthwyl Boyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalldav Herren, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Morthwyl Boyce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalldav Herren's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Morthwyl Boyce came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by UWA Talgarth's Daned Bray. But to his dismay, Daned Bray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, UWA Talgarth's goal looked a bit too open when Kynon Finch came free, but Collen Colby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwern Eggleston's late challenge caught a UWA Barmouth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gwern Eggleston helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of UWA Barmouth booed when UWA Talgarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwern Eggleston didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Daned Bray managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Talgarth's supporters rose to their feet, but Daned Bray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Morthwyl Boyce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Kynon Finch scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Collen Colby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute Daned Bray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morthwyl Boyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Nentres Gilbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Barmouth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nentres Gilbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daned Bray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Morthwyl Boyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalldav Herren got free with Morthwyl Boyce in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nentres Gilbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Collen Colby having to interfere. After a rather tough play, UWA Barmouth's Amhar Birdwell got a free kick in the 80th minute. Kynon Finch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Collen Colby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Collen Colby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nentres Gilbert in the 87th minute of play. Morthwyl Boyce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalldav Herren in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute, Kynon Finch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. UWA Barmouth had won after a very even match.
