Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Llyn Lazar started the match with the kick off. Maelwys Fuller hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Albanwr Creedan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadwgawn Gilfin having to interfere. Davis Flannagan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Cadwgawn Gilfin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Carmarthen's zone, Llyn Lazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cadwgawn Gilfin came out of the goal and Llyn Lazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Llyn Lazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cadwgawn Gilfin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Davis Flannagan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cadwgawn Gilfin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cadwgawn Gilfin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llyn Lazar in the 29th minute of play. Awstin Egan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albanwr Blencow having to interfere. Llyn Lazar might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cadwgawn Gilfin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Llyn Lazar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute, Culhwch Harris left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carmarthen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Albanwr Blencow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Awstin Egan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, UWA Ely's Llyn Lazar got a free kick in the 58th minute. UWA Ely's Albanwr Blencow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Culhwch Harris in the 68th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Awstin Egan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 72 played minutes Carmarthen got a freekick which was hit by Edmyg Ginger. Davis Flannagan struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Cadwgawn Gilfin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Ely. Albanwr Blencow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Culhwch Harris, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Awstin Egan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Ely's zone, Culhwch Harris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albanwr Blencow came out of the goal and Culhwch Harris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carmarthen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
