Llangollen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pelles Herrington was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ector Foote's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Calcas Jack read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Calcas Jack stood somewhat misplaced when Maelgwn Haymonger came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 33 minute. If Pelles Herrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Madoc Kenna was the one to do the kick off. Gowerr Brightsmith kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Maelgwn Haymonger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. If Iago Fischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Llangollen FC's Maelgwn Haymonger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calcas Jack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown's zone, Ector Foote stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calcas Jack came out of the goal and Ector Foote tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calcas Jack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ector Foote in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madoc Kenna in the 90th minute of play forced Llangollen FC's goalkeeper Iddawg Dineen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Llangollen FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Madoc Kenna 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. Llangollen FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
