Spectators: 6779 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Beli Baxter took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd play minute Pelles Herrington came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bors Finkley. 1-0. Pelles Herrington in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bors Finkley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With an all-out effort, Newtown's Bors Finkley threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Madoc Kenna, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 13 minutes, Madoc Kenna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madoc Kenna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bors Finkley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Madoc Kenna in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to UWA Denbigh getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Emrys Bratton hit a great ball. Calcas Jack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beli Baxter in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Newtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iago Fischer to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Lludd Fielding from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Bors Finkley's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Pelles Herrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bors Finkley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bors Finkley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Madoc Kenna's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Calcas Jack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beli Baxter in the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Pawl Epperson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Denbigh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pawl Epperson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Madoc Kenna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Madoc Kenna to make the kick off. Iago Fischer hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Newtown's Calcas Jack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Newtown from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Madoc Kenna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UWA Denbigh's Bors Finkley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madoc Kenna in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown's zone, Beli Baxter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calcas Jack came out of the goal and Beli Baxter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pawl Epperson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Denbigh's zone, Pelles Herrington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bors Finkley came out of the goal and Pelles Herrington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Newtown's Madoc Kenna got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Madoc Kenna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iago Fischer during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Calcas Jack made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Pawl Epperson sent off a good shot on target. Pawl Epperson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calcas Jack having to interfere. Newtown were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of UWA Denbigh for a fine match.
