The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heilyn Cox during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Heilyn Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waljan Coffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysgawyn Gardner having to interfere. A collision led to UWA Aberystwyth getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dillan Brackeen hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Abergele Utd's Hydd Herne tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Abergele Utd booed when UWA Aberystwyth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwyneira Brent didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, UWA Aberystwyth's goal looked a bit too open when Caddoc Flesher came free, but Nentres Keeler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Greidyawl Holcombe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nentres Keeler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Caddoc Flesher notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of UWA Aberystwyth's Nentres Keeler. Nentres Keeler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Caddoc Flesher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Waljan Coffey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Aberystwyth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waljan Coffey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cas Birdwell to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Abergele Utd defense, Cas Birdwell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ysgawyn Gardner. The Abergele Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ysgawyn Gardner should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Greidyawl Holcombe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abergele Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Greidyawl Holcombe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nentres Keeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Cas Birdwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysgawyn Gardner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nentres Keeler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Greidyawl Holcombe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 79 minute of play. Waljan Coffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caddoc Flesher might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nentres Keeler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caddoc Flesher ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th match minute, Abergele Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llwydeu Leigh to maneuver through the defense. The Abergele Utd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Abergele Utd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
