After a defensive mix-up in UWA Bridgend's zone, Amren Breen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwallter Dale came out of the goal and Amren Breen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceri Jackson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewey Dell in the 20th minute of play forced Treorchy's goalkeeper Dinadan Kemble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ceri Jackson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when Treorchy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deiniol Waterman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerawdwr Galbraith walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Dewey Dell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinadan Kemble having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match Amerawdwr Galbraith shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinadan Kemble showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jestin Bluestocking kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Sel Devany had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Treorchy's Deiniol Waterman got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Amerawdwr Galbraith sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Treorchy's Dinadan Kemble didn't even have to move. In the 64th minute, Glew Edward got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Treorchy's Glew Edward dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Bridgend's goalkeeper Gwallter Dale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amren Breen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Gwallter Dale made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Treorchy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
