Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tegvan Bennington started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Penarth's Vaughn Hugh made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwallter Dale was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 7th minute, Siawn Hacker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Vaughn Hugh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gwallter Dale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ceri Jackson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Seith Cavaness tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Bedyw Jolson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penarth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Bridgend the free kick. Bedyw Jolson kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Penarth's zone, Dewey Dell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seith Cavaness came out of the goal and Dewey Dell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 minutes of play Penarth's Bedyw Jolson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bedyw Jolson kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Penarth's zone, Ceri Jackson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seith Cavaness came out of the goal and Ceri Jackson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seith Cavaness took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dewey Dell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gwallter Dale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaughn Hugh in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dewey Dell to make the kick off. Seith Cavaness made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewey Dell in the 51st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Penarth's zone, Dewey Dell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seith Cavaness came out of the goal and Dewey Dell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Siawn Hacker fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penarth's protests and gave Siawn Hacker a yellow card for diving instead. 57 minutes into the game, one of Penarth:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave UWA Bridgend a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amerawdwr Galbraith, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Penarth's Seith Cavaness. 1-2. Vaughn Hugh in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gwallter Dale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gwallter Dale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vaughn Hugh in the 63rd minute. Seith Cavaness made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewey Dell in the 66th minute of play. Seith Cavaness showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewey Dell, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Dewey Dell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seith Cavaness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75thth minute of the game Ceri Jackson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Penarth's Seith Cavaness was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Vaughn Hugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Vaughn Hugh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penarth's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaughn Hugh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwallter Dale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ceri Jackson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dewey Dell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seith Cavaness having to interfere. In the 89th minute Ceri Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seith Cavaness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes, Oswallt Gardner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penarth and the UWA Bridgend players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when Penarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswallt Gardner didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Penarth walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
