Gwallter Dale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gwallter Dale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berth Brisbane, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cas Gardner struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Gwallter Dale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Penarth. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Griffith Drummond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dewey Dell in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Dewey Dell made a precise shot to the right of Griffith Drummond. UWA Penarth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 62 minutes, Dewey Dell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Bridgend's goalkeeper Gwallter Dale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dewey Dell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
