After a defensive mix-up in Caerleon's zone, Deiniol Frost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cadman Buchan came out of the goal and Deiniol Frost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Cadman Buchan managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when UWA Barry's Brathach Gallatin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Caerleon's Heilyn Foote got a free kick in the 25th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. March Donoghue was the one to do the kick off. Cadman Buchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brathach Gallatin in the 51st minute of play. After 52 played minutes UWA Barry got a freekick which was hit by Trent Saddler. Collen Fairchild kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Mostyn Gavins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Addolgar Accomptant in the 56th minute of play. March Donoghue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mostyn Gavins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aeddan Cleaver who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Mostyn Gavins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aeddan Cleaver got free with Mostyn Gavins in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deiniol Frost in the 67th minute of play forced Caerleon's goalkeeper Cadman Buchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Aeddan Cleaver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caerleon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aeddan Cleaver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cadman Buchan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brathach Gallatin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aeddan Cleaver got free with Mostyn Gavins in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. UWA Barry's Mostyn Gavins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by March Donoghue in the 80th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Deiniol Frost got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Addolgar Accomptant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caerleon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Barry the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Brathach Gallatin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
