A collision led to Baglan getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Cadarn Burt hit a great ball. Llwydeu Colville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mael Law having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olwydd Farley got free with Mael Law in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 played minutes Ely got a freekick which was hit by Tomos Chaston. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carnedyr Lamph in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garnock Gilboy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 63 minutes, Llwydeu Colville managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ely's supporters crossed their fingers, but Llwydeu Colville was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mael Law showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olwydd Farley in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Cadarn Burt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baglan's supporters rose to their feet, but Cadarn Burt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garnock Gilboy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Ely's goal looked a bit too open when Carnedyr Lamph came free, but Garnock Gilboy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menw Fielding's late challenge caught a Ely's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Menw Fielding helped the player get up and apologised. Menw Fielding kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ely's Garnock Gilboy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Ely from getting a goal against them. Cadarn Burt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ely had won after a very even match.
