Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Sel Duff started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute of the match Ermid Forsyth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celyn Edelston skillfully saved the ball. Iustig Herbert hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ely getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tomos Chaston hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Drystan Hynes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ely's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Penarth the free kick. In the 25th minute Sel Duff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garnock Gilboy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sion Griffith's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Garnock Gilboy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sel Duff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Drystan Hynes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llwydeu Colville in the 36th minute of play forced UWA Penarth's goalkeeper Celyn Edelston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sel Duff might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garnock Gilboy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sel Duff ran back to his position shaking his head. Celyn Edelston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llwydeu Colville in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Llwydeu Colville made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sel Duff made a precise shot to the right of Garnock Gilboy. Ely's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, UWA Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Llwydeu Colville came free, but Celyn Edelston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sion Griffith kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Llwydeu Colville recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celyn Edelston didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olwydd Farley went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. UWA Penarth's Sel Duff got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olwydd Farley was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Sel Duff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Llwydeu Colville struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Celyn Edelston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ely. Olwydd Farley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celyn Edelston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to UWA Penarth getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Iustig Herbert hit a great ball. Garnock Gilboy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sion Griffith, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Sion Griffith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarrant Wheelwright hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ely walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
