But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deiniol Frost couldn't finish the play. Amerawdwr Dungan lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 4th minute, one of UWA Penarth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UWA Penarth. In the 9th minute, Trent Saddler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 played minutes UWA Penarth got a freekick which was hit by Sion Griffith. A collision led to UWA Barry getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Collen Fairchild hit a great ball. Sion Griffith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mostyn Gavins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celyn Edelston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deiniol Frost, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Sion Griffith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lludd Ingram hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Sion Griffith had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mostyn Gavins. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deiniol Frost made a kick off. Brathach Gallatin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celyn Edelston having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Iustig Herbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Penarth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustig Herbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brathach Gallatin in the 62nd minute of play forced UWA Penarth's goalkeeper Celyn Edelston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sulyen Giggs kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Collen Fairchild sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celyn Edelston skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd match minute, UWA Penarth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sion Griffith to maneuver through the defense.
