Penarth FC's Anwar Canning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwallter Fergus in the 9th minute of play. Powell Collis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anwar Canning having to interfere. In the 13th minute Gwallter Fergus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anwar Canning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwallter Fergus in the 23rd minute of play forced Penarth FC's goalkeeper Anwar Canning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Llangollen Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Berth Crawford came free, but Gwres Drummond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Llangollen Utd's goalkeeper Gwres Drummond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berth Crawford. Penarth FC's Berth Crawford got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arian Bailie came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Penarth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arian Bailie couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arian Bailie in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwres Drummond saved Llangollen Utd from getting behind. Berth Crawford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
