After 15 minutes of play Bridgend FC's Cynan Cleary was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 16th minute, Cynan Cleary hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cadell Denton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eryi Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galahad Banff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cadell Denton in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eryi Browne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ieuan Eccleston in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gruddyeu Henson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Morthwyl Alden took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gruddyeu Henson to make any attempt to save it. If Gwalchmei Betts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cadell Denton in the 33rd minute of play forced UWA Ely's goalkeeper Eryi Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ieuan Eccleston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cadell Denton made the kick off in the second half. Eryi Browne acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cairn Scrutiner. Rhun Loughnane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ieuan Eccleston struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gruddyeu Henson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Ely.
