Newtown's Kynon Bradshaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clud Harvey in the 3rd minute of play. Gwyddno Clifton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tudur Gorman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cerdic Cornell in the 15th minute of play forced Newtown Utd's goalkeeper Cynbal Chandler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Clud Harvey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Newtown Utd a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arawn Goff, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newtown's Kynon Bradshaw. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown Utd's zone, Gwyddno Clifton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cynbal Chandler came out of the goal and Gwyddno Clifton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Newtown Utd's goalkeeper Cynbal Chandler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gwyddno Clifton. After having played for 28 minutes, Clust Bowie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newtown Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clust Bowie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown Utd's zone, Gwyddno Clifton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cynbal Chandler came out of the goal and Gwyddno Clifton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cynbal Chandler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cerdic Cornell in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th minute Clud Harvey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kynon Bradshaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Berth Carr. Newtown Utd's Arawn Goff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Newtown. Clud Harvey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kynon Bradshaw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Gwyddno Clifton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cynbal Chandler having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Gwyddno Clifton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cynbal Chandler having to interfere. Cerdic Cornell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kian Gilboy kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Clust Bowie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kynon Bradshaw having to interfere. If Cerdic Cornell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cerdic Cornell in the 86th minute of play forced Newtown Utd's goalkeeper Cynbal Chandler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cerdic Cornell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Cerdic Cornell notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Newtown Utd's Cynbal Chandler. Cynbal Chandler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
