Avagdu Hansen kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Ardwyad Cundall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Amlawdd Cuskley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penarth Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Bridgend the free kick. In the 12th minute, Amlawdd Cuskley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Collen Frost fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Bridgend's protests and gave Collen Frost a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, one of UWA Bridgend:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UWA Bridgend. The referee gave Penarth Utd a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Morthwyl Finn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of UWA Bridgend's Cadfan Cumberland. 0-1. Ardwyad Cundall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Gwyneira Hosford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iowerth Peruker hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of UWA Bridgend booed when Penarth Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwyneira Hosford didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Brian Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cadfan Cumberland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Penarth Utd's Selyf Cordwainer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Penarth Utd from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in UWA Bridgend fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Penarth Utd. Morthwyl Finn stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cadfan Cumberland. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ardwyad Cundall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Penarth Utd booed when UWA Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iowerth Peruker didn't get a good kick on the ball. UWA Bridgend's Cadfan Cumberland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Cox in the 58th minute of play. If Brian Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadfan Cumberland having to interfere. When Griffin Denman fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Bridgend's protests and gave Griffin Denman a yellow card for diving instead. Griffin Denman hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Selyf Cordwainer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ardwyad Cundall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cadwr Isard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadfan Cumberland having to interfere. During the 79th minute of the match Amlawdd Cuskley completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amlawdd Cuskley a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Amlawdd Cuskley hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Dewey Avery might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selyf Cordwainer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dewey Avery ran back to his position shaking his head. Penarth Utd's Selyf Cordwainer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardwyad Cundall in the 82nd minute of play. Dewey Avery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Selyf Cordwainer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ardwyad Cundall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cadwr Isard got free with Cadfan Cumberland in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Penarth Utd were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after UWA Bridgend's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Morthwyl Finn took the corner. Penarth Utd's Morthwyl Finn was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cadfan Cumberland in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Penarth Utd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Penarth Utd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
