After a defensive mix-up in Haverfordwest Utd's zone, Cadwr Isard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eryi James came out of the goal and Cadwr Isard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 8 minutes, Gwitart Kerrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haverfordwest Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwitart Kerrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Cadellin Doody in the 22nd minute really tested Eryi James's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cadwr Isard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eryi James read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Haverfordwest Utd's Eryi James played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Cox in the 25th minute of play. If Gwitart Kerrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pryderi Dean hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Morthwyl Finn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penarth Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morthwyl Finn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brian Cox blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eryi James having to make a save. In the 47thth minute of the game Gwitart Kerrin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Penarth Utd's Selyf Cordwainer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwitart Kerrin made a kick off. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Kynedyr Drover sped through Penarth Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Selyf Cordwainer. Cadwr Isard took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eryi James. Eryi James dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 70 minutes into the match, Cadwr Isard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eryi James. Haverfordwest Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cadwr Isard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Gwitart Kerrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, Haverfordwest Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pwyll Coomber to maneuver through the defense. Brian Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Cadwr Isard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eryi James was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Selyf Cordwainer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwitart Kerrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Penarth Utd's Avagdu Hansen got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Kynedyr Drover managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haverfordwest Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kynedyr Drover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwitart Kerrin in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selyf Cordwainer saved Penarth Utd from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Cadwr Isard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Morthwyl Finn came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Penarth Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morthwyl Finn couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Penarth Utd had won after a very even match.
