Neued Kelly went to the wrong direction when Renfrew Flannagan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alawn Farmer during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renfrew Flannagan's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Neued Kelly on his right side and into the goal. 21 minutes into the game it was 1-0. UWA Lampeter's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Colwyn Garland 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Myrddin Linkletter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evrei Douglas took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jones Little. Jones Little dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Keith Kinealy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jones Little. Cardiff Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Keith Kinealy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Rhun Luke hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of UWA Lampeter:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cardiff Utd:s goal. When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, Cardiff Utd's Renfrew Flannagan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Neued Kelly.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evrei Douglas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Colwyn Garland succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-2. After 62 played minutes UWA Lampeter got a freekick which was hit by Gruddyeu Denny. When Myrddin Linkletter came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Cardiff Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Myrddin Linkletter couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Renfrew Flannagan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UWA Lampeter's Neued Kelly didn't even have to move. Evrei Douglas took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jones Little. Neued Kelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colwyn Garland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Myrddin Linkletter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neued Kelly having to interfere. In the 86th minute, one of UWA Lampeter:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UWA Lampeter. Neued Kelly went to the wrong direction when Renfrew Flannagan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Myrddin Linkletter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colwyn Garland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cardiff Utd had played much better football throughout.
