Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olwydd Baldwin started the match with the kick off. Maelgwn Keary hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Waljan Cohen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dewey Avery in the 8th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, UWA Bridgend's goal looked a bit too open when Olwydd Baldwin came free, but Cadfan Cumberland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Caerleon FC booed when UWA Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lavaine Chase didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cadfan Cumberland didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Olwydd Baldwin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caerleon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olwydd Baldwin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Caerleon FC's Dyvyr Coad in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Bridgend's goalie prevented a goal. In the 33rd minute Ardwyad Cundall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waljan Cohen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caerleon FC's zone, Dewey Avery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waljan Cohen came out of the goal and Dewey Avery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cadfan Cumberland made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Dyvyr Coad sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Caerleon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dewey Avery came free, but Waljan Cohen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ardwyad Cundall to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Caerleon FC got a freekick which was hit by Maelgwn Keary. A collision led to UWA Bridgend getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ermid Dutton hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Pedr Hildreth sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UWA Bridgend's Cadfan Cumberland didn't even have to move. Olwydd Baldwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadfan Cumberland having to interfere. Meurig Breslin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A collision led to UWA Bridgend getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pelles Peruker hit a great ball. Cadfan Cumberland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olwydd Baldwin in the 78th minute of play. Olwydd Baldwin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dewey Avery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waljan Cohen having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dyvyr Coad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cadfan Cumberland was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Cadfan Cumberland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olwydd Baldwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ardwyad Cundall received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Waljan Cohen came out and tried to block the shot, but Ardwyad Cundall slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
