The referee ignored UWA Lampeter's protests and gave Alawn Farmer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, UWA Lampeter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alawn Farmer to maneuver through the defense. When Brian Cox came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Penarth Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Cox couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Cadwr Isard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penarth Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cadwr Isard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cadwr Isard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neued Kelly having to interfere. If Evrei Douglas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36th play minutes Keith Kinealy shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Selyf Cordwainer and just under the crossbar into goal. If Cadwr Isard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cadwr Isard struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Neued Kelly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penarth Utd. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brian Cox was the one to do the kick off. Brian Cox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neued Kelly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Brian Cox made a precise shot to the right of Neued Kelly. UWA Lampeter's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Evrei Douglas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selyf Cordwainer having to interfere. Cadwr Isard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Neued Kelly made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Penarth Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Evrei Douglas came free, but Selyf Cordwainer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Lampeter's zone, Cadwr Isard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neued Kelly came out of the goal and Cadwr Isard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Penarth Utd getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Avagdu Hansen hit a great ball. Keith Kinealy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Selyf Cordwainer having to make a save. Neued Kelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UWA Lampeter's Neued Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Cox in the 85th minute of play. Cadwr Isard came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Neued Kelly could save by the left post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
