Maelwys Gee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwitart Kerrin in the 39th minute of play. When Tarrant Tapley fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Llangollen FC's protests and gave Tarrant Tapley a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Llangollen FC got a freekick which was hit by Tarrant Tapley. In the 40th minute Kynedyr Drover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maelwys Gee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Malvern Folk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Drwst Keary stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
