Braen Futter charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braen Futter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cardigan getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Braen Futter hit a great ball. After 7 played minutes Cardigan got a freekick which was hit by Anwar Lavery. Robat Herne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garwyli Felt having to interfere. If Clyde Correll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Robat Herne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llangollen Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robat Herne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tarrant Kit kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Hafgan Jennings hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Peissawg Lovat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwevyl Kavanagh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Llangollen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogart Carr to maneuver through the defense. Peissawg Lovat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gwevyl Kavanagh having to make a save. After 40 played minutes Llangollen Utd got a freekick which was hit by Cai Blackadder. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Gwevyl Kavanagh successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kenyon Howe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 54th minute of the match Anwar Lavery completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anwar Lavery a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Cardigan's Anwar Lavery got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Robat Herne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardigan's Garwyli Felt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Clyde Correll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Clyde Correll got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Llangollen Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Braen Futter came free, but Gwevyl Kavanagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robat Herne in the 73rd minute of play forced Cardigan's goalkeeper Garwyli Felt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Clyde Correll managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardigan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clyde Correll was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Cardigan's goalkeeper Garwyli Felt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenyon Howe. If Kenyon Howe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenyon Howe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clyde Correll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwevyl Kavanagh having to interfere. Braen Futter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwevyl Kavanagh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clyde Correll in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Llangollen Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
