But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anwell Godwin couldn't finish the play. Anwell Godwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Caradawg Ackroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anwell Godwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes Llanberis got a freekick which was hit by Alwyn Finan. Padrig Bluestocking showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mael Burt in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Trefor Ackerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caradawg Ackroyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Llanberis's zone, Mael Burt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Padrig Bluestocking came out of the goal and Mael Burt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trefor Ackerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Douglas in the 28th minute of play forced Llanberis's goalkeeper Padrig Bluestocking to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Gwallter Karton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 36 in the game by Gormant Hunt from a close distance when the talented Padrig Bluestocking managed to make a qualified save. Llanberis's players were relieved. Anwell Godwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merlin Douglas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 64 minutes, Anwell Godwin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llanberis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anwell Godwin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Douglas in the 72nd minute of play forced Llanberis's goalkeeper Padrig Bluestocking to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
