Gwevyl Kavanagh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gormant Hunt went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Bogart Carr, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Caradawg Ackroyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robat Herne, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robat Herne to make the kick off. When Ol Waiter fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Aberystwyth's protests and gave Ol Waiter a yellow card for diving instead. Robat Herne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute.
