Peissawg Lovat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Penvro Emmett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cardigan getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Anwar Lavery hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Amren Haydon made a precise shot to the right of Garwyli Felt. Cardigan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Brys Webster took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Garwyli Felt. Cardigan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Clyde Correll came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Cardigan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clyde Correll couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Anwar Lavery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardigan's supporters rose to their feet, but Anwar Lavery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Penvro Emmett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cardigan's goalkeeper Garwyli Felt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cardigan's Garwyli Felt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huw Leeche in the 32nd minute of play. Peissawg Lovat struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Penvro Emmett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardigan. Huw Leeche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peissawg Lovat to strike the kick off in the second half. If Amren Haydon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garwyli Felt was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Huw Leeche capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cadwallen Bowie hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cardigan booed when Llandudno Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Powell Manciple didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Adwr Tanner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Penvro Emmett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Llandudno Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Clyde Correll came free, but Penvro Emmett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Llandudno Utd's zone, Peissawg Lovat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Penvro Emmett came out of the goal and Peissawg Lovat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 played minutes Cardigan got a freekick which was hit by Bedwyr Costermonger. 83 minutes into the match, Llandudno Utd's Powell Manciple broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Huw Leeche struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Garwyli Felt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Llandudno Utd. The supporters of Cardigan booed when Llandudno Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cerwyn Boyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huw Leeche in the 92nd minute of play forced Cardigan's goalkeeper Garwyli Felt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Llandudno Utd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Llandudno Utd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
