With a little luck, Maesteg's Lleu Kilpatrick got control of the ball when Romney Joynes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Romney Joynes took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Lleu Kilpatrick to make any attempt to save it. In the 31st match minute, Maesteg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eudav Laing to maneuver through the defense. When Flint's Blathaon Emery, in the 32nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Flint. In the 33rd minute, Eudav Laing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maesteg! In the 46th match minute, Flint was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kynwal Larkin to maneuver through the defense. If Bradwr Ivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romney Joynes to make the kick off. Peredur Gilfoyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Anwar Folk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Iago Joynes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Flint's goal looked a bit too open when Bradwr Ivers came free, but Anwar Folk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kynwal Larkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lleu Kilpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kynwal Larkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Maesteg's Bradwr Ivers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anwar Folk. Anwar Folk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 88th minute Bradwr Ivers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anwar Folk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Bradwr Ivers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maesteg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradwr Ivers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romney Joynes in the 99th minute of play forced Maesteg's goalkeeper Lleu Kilpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flint's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
