Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bradwr Ivers took the kick off in the first half of the match. Price Collier was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Bradwr Ivers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bradwr Ivers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Maesteg's Peredur Gilfoyle got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Price Collier managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Maesteg's Peredur Gilfoyle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maesteg's Peredur Gilfoyle got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Peredur Gilfoyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maesteg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peredur Gilfoyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bradwr Ivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Price Collier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradwr Ivers in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Neb Hughes during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Neb Hughes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Neb Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Porthcawl Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neb Hughes couldn't finish the play. Peredur Gilfoyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Price Collier having to interfere. Lleu Kilpatrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cedric Conyers in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Maesteg's goal looked a bit too open when Sayer Haugh came free, but Lleu Kilpatrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cedric Conyers was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl Utd's zone, Peredur Gilfoyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Price Collier came out of the goal and Peredur Gilfoyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cain Lamph fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porthcawl Utd's protests and gave Cain Lamph a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Porthcawl Utd getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Cain Lamph hit a great ball. Garnock Elias missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 55 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Price Collier right hand side. Peredur Gilfoyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sayer Haugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lleu Kilpatrick having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradwr Ivers in the 63rd minute of play forced Porthcawl Utd's goalkeeper Price Collier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cedric Conyers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lleu Kilpatrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Price Collier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peredur Gilfoyle in the 67th minute of play. Neb Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Peredur Gilfoyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pryderi Bradley was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Maesteg's Lleu Kilpatrick got control of the ball when Sayer Haugh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cedric Conyers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lleu Kilpatrick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Peredur Gilfoyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Price Collier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eudav Laing's late challenge caught a Porthcawl Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eudav Laing helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Maesteg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eudav Laing to maneuver through the defense. Cedric Conyers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lleu Kilpatrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sayer Haugh got free with Lleu Kilpatrick in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cedric Conyers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porthcawl Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Cedric Conyers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lleu Kilpatrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes Maesteg got a freekick which was hit by Eudav Laing. Porthcawl Utd's Neb Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sayer Haugh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porthcawl Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Sayer Haugh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lleu Kilpatrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lleu Kilpatrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedric Conyers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maesteg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
