Tristram Harris took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gerallt Lovelady. UWA Denbigh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to UWA Denbigh getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gwallawg Breedlove hit a great ball. Gerallt Lovelady didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Galahad Fabian went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gerallt Lovelady showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galahad Fabian in the 23rd minute of the match. Gerallt Lovelady didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Galahad Fabian went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Casnar Boltinghouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, UWA Denbigh's goal looked a bit too open when Galahad Fabian came free, but Gerallt Lovelady reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gethin Laurence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Ely FC got a freekick which was hit by Rhys Cupp. Arglwydd Karton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irvin Billing having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The goal made the score 0-3. 71 minutes into the match, Arglwydd Karton notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ely FC's Irvin Billing. Irvin Billing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Puw Crocker was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 78 played minutes UWA Denbigh got a freekick which was hit by Wadu Bussey. In the 79th minute, Gwydion Francom sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UWA Denbigh's Gerallt Lovelady didn't even have to move. Gethin Laurence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gethin Laurence came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ely FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gethin Laurence couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, Gethin Laurence lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Gerallt Lovelady. Ely FC played a much better game than UWA Denbigh and deserved their victory. The UWA Denbigh players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
